*  Employee "A" in a company walked up to his manager and asked what my job is for the day?
*  The manager took "A" to the bank of a river and asked him to cross the river and reach the other side of the bank.
*  "A" completed this task successfully and reported back to the manager about the completion of the task assigned.
The manager smiled and said "GOOD JOB"

Next day Employee "B" reported to the same manager and asked him the job for the day. The manager assigned the same
task as above to this person also.

*The Employee "B' before starting the task saw Employee "C" struggling in the river to reach the
other side of the bank. He realized "C" has the same task.

* Now "B" not only crossed the river but also helped "C" to cross the river.
* "B" reported back to the manager and the manager smiled and said "VERY GOOD JOB"

The following day Employee "Q" reported to the same manager and asked him the job for the day. The manager assigned
the same task again.

*Employee "Q" before starting the work did some home work and realized "A", "B" & "C" all has done this task before.
He met them and understood how they performed.

*He realized that there is a need for a guide and training for doing this task.

* He sat first and wrote down the procedure for crossing the river, he documented the common mistakes people made,
and tricks to do the task efficiently and effortlessly.

* Using the methodology he had written down he crossed the river and reported back to the manager along with documented
procedure and training material.

* The manger said "Q" you have done an "EXCELLENT JOB".

The following day Employee "O' reported to the manager and asked him the job for the day. The manager assigned the same task again.

"O" studied the procedure written down by "Q" and sat and thought about the whole task.
He realized company is spending lot of money in getting this task completed.
He decided not to cross the river, but sat and designed and implemented a bridge across the river and went back
to his manager and said, "You no longer need to assign this task to any one".
The manager smiled and said "Outstanding job 'O'. I am very proud of you."
What is the difference between A, B, Q & O????????

Many a times in life we get tasks to be done at home, at office, at play., Most of us end up doing what is expected out of us.
Do we feel happy? Most probably yes. We would be often disappointed when the recognition is not meeting our expectation.

Let us compare ourselves with "B". Helping some one else the problem often improves our own skills. There is an old proverb
I do not know the author) "learn to teach and teach to learn". From a company point of view "B" has demonstrated much
better skills than "A" since one more task for the company is completed.

"Q" created knowledge base for the team. More often than not, we do the task assigned to us without checking history.
Learning from other's mistake is the best way to improve efficiency. This knowledge creation for the team is of
immense help. Re-usability reduces cost there by increases productivity of the team. "Q" demonstrated good
"team-player" skills,

Now to the outstanding person, "O" made the task irrelevant; he created a Permanent Asset to the team.

If you notice B, Q and O all have demonstrated "team performance" over an above individual performance; also they
have demonstrated a very invaluable characteristic known as "INITIATIVE".

Initiative pays of every where whether at work or at personal life. If you put initiative you will succeed. Initiative
is a continual process and it never ends. This is because this year's achievement is next year's task. You cannot
use the same success story every year.

The story provides an instance of performance, where as measurement needs to be spread across at least 6-12 months.
Consequently performance should be consistent and evenly spread.

Out-of-Box thinkers are always premium and that is what every one constantly looks out for. Initiative, Out-of-Box
thinking and commitment are the stepping stone to success.

Initiative should be life long. Think of out of the box.

Soul Food

I love the taste of T-bone steak,
Delicious every bite,
But there's nothing like the Word of God,
For my spiritual appetite.

The Word of God has milk and meat,
And even ice cream and cake.
Take a slice of the Bread of Life,
And coffee to keep us awake.

Open your Bible and turn to Psalms,
For David's famous buffet.
You can drink all the wine of the word you want,
And still feel fine the next day.

There's enough of the Word for everyone,
And no one has to cheat.
The Word of God is a smorgasbord,
So take all you are able to eat.

Let's have a little longsuffering,
Job gives the recipe.
Patience is the main ingredient,
Self denial is the fee.

Wrap that up in temperance,
It may not make much sense,
Cover that with contentment,
Then add some joy for strength.

Let's have love for dessert,
Jesus made this dish,
Cream of joy and peace together,
Sift out all selfishness.

Add some deeds of righteousness,
Enough to make it sweet.
Humility is the frosting,
That makes the dish complete.

Or are you on a diet,
Cause the race seems hard to run.
For a weight losing menu,
try Hebrews 12 and 1.

Are you suffering from malnutrition,
And don't know what to do?
Your spiritual growth seems hindered,
Try 1 Peter 2 and 2.

If when every time you battle,
the enemy always wins,
Try some Holy Ghost Protein,
And spiritual vitamins.

God's Word can feed millions,
And still have plenty left.
Because the Word of God is Soul Food,
Sent from the World's Greatest CHEF.

~♥STRANGE SCHOOLS ~♥

These 10 schools are unique and original, but I am not sure if this is just too good. People choose these schools for their children are surely progressive but I am not sure if this will help them in finding jobs and with colleges. Maybe they should think about this too before they take their child to a school like this. See these 10 strange schools in USA and tell me which would you chose for your child.

1. The Blue School

Did you know The Blue Man Group has a school? It has no books, but it still costs $32,000 a year to attend. Parents are reportedly pulling their kids out of the Manhattan elementary school, which runs from kindergarten to 5th grade, because it focuses too much on games and doesn’t teach the children to read. That’s something they might have considered before sending their kids to a school without books.

2. The Delphian School

The Delphian School in western Oregon markets itself as a “real-world Hogwarts, but it’s actually a real-world Scientology school, for grades K-12. The education is based around L. Ron Hubbard’s educational beliefs, which includes the idea that all words (even “the and “it) are grossly misunderstood. As a result, the school tries to teach students in an allegedly more concrete way. For example, they’re often asked to build things out of clay to illustrate concepts. Also, facial hair is banned. And it costs $42,000 a year.

3. Brooklyn Free School

At Brooklyn Free, classes are optional â€" and frequently taught by students. Some, like a high school-aged boy who taught a class on Tibet, are self-motivated and get educational value out of it. But others reportedly take advantage of the “you don’t have to do anything you don’t want toâ€ mantra, and don’t do but sit around. The school naturally has a big problem with “boredom.â€

4. Walt Disney Elementary

In 1954, children at the public elementary school in Levittown, Pennsylvania were given the opportunity to name their school after a public figure. The kids chose Walt Disney. When Disney got word of it, he sent artists to decorate the school accordingly. Half a century later, it’s still Disney-ified, with classrooms and hallways devoted to Disney characters.

5. School Of The Future

In 2003, Microsoft agreed to fund a $63 million Philadelphia public charter high school called “School of the Future. Not only would the school be totally paper-free and rely entirely on technology, it would also mimic a real-world workplace schedule with a 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. school day. (The school day was eventually lengthened.) Naturally, all students are trained in Microsoft programs, presumably making them good candidates for post-grad employment.

6. FDNY High School For Fire And Life Safety

This school doesn’t just have fire drills â€" it prepares students for a career in fire safety. The Brooklyn high school is run by the Fire Department of New York.

7. Stratton Mountain School

Stratton Mountain School in Stratton, VT bills itself as a “winter sports academy. Translation: go skiing and snowboarding for most of the day. The school has sent 53 students to the Olympics, while 90 have been on national teams.

8. Awakening Seed School

Started in a Phoenix, AZ garage in 1977, Awakening Seed wanted “children to be honored for who they are. The school, which runs from pre-school to 5th grade, bans artificial juices and Lunchables. Their mission statement includes the line: “world peace is possible, and this first verse of the school song describes the general attitude and curriculum: “The Seed’s not like most other schools / It’s a really special place / We dance and sing and do water play / There’s a smile on every face.

9. Celebration Education

At this California school, each year has a theme around which all teaching is focused. In 2011, the theme was Leonardo da Vinci. The theme for the upcoming year is “Explore.â€ Classes aren’t segmented by subject â€" everything’s taught together. Of course, there are no grades or textbooks.

10. Play Mountain Place

Play Mountain Place describes itself as “a progressive alternative humanistic play-based preschool and elementary school located in Los Angeles, California.â€ Children are not pressured in any way â€" they can wear diapers for as long as they like, for instance. Classes take place primarily outside and part of the curriculum includes petting animals
