Assalam - O - Alaikum,

 

 

GOOD LIFE OF THE HEREAFTER

 

 

[ALLAH'S Quran –  33:28,29 ]  "O PROPHET! Say unto thy wives: "If you desire [but] the life of this world and its charms - well, then, I shall provide for you and release you in a becoming manner; but if you desire God and His Apostle, and [thus the good of] the life in the hereafter, then [know that], verily, for the doers of good among you God has readied a mighty reward!"

 

 

[Muslim, Book #009, Hadith #3498]  "'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was commanded to give option to his wives, he started it from me saying: I am going to mention to you a matter which you should not (decide) in haste until you have consulted your parents. She said that he already knew that my parents would never allow me to seek separation from him She said: Then he said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: Prophet, say to thy wives: If you desire this world's life and its adornment, then come, I will give you a provision and allow you to depart a goodly departing; and if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter, then Allah has prepared for the doers of good among you a great reward She is reported to have said: About what should I consult my parents, for I desire Allah and His Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter? She ('A'isha) said: Then all the wives of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) did as I had done."

ICC Awards: Sangakkara, Kohli bag top honours Kumar Sangakkara follows in the footsteps of Rahul Dravid, Andrew Flintoff, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Mitchell Johnson, Sachin Tendulkar and Jonathan Trott to take the Cricketer of the Year Award.   Kumar Sangakkara: Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara grabbed three prestigious awards at the LG ICC Awards ceremony in Colombo. Sanga was named the ICC Cricketer of the Year, ICC Test Cricketer of the Year and the LG People's Choice Award for the second year in a row. During the performance period, he played 14 Tests and in 27 innings, he compiled 1,444 runs at an average of 60.16, including five centuries and five half-centuries. "I'm continuing to ensure I am consistent and I need to keep raising the bar each year and keep trying harder and harder to ensure I keep playing good Test cricket. It's a constant battle but I have the support of a great team that helps me to do the best I can. I think I continue to learn from the youngsters in the team and will continue to grow as a player hopefully and it's a great honour to receive this award this evening," Sangakkara said after receiving the award from Test batting legend Brian Lara.   Virat Kohli: The Indian youngster was named ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year 2012 in Colombo. During the performance period, he played 31 ODIs and compiled 1,733 runs at an average of 66.65, including eight centuries and six half-centuries. His highest score, 183, came against Pakistan in the Asia Cup on 18 March 2012. "I think I have tried to keep things as simple as possible and it's worked for me on the field. This year has been a learning curve along the way from the seniors in the team. It's been an all-round effort and I'm very happy to have won this award. It's always nice to be recognized by the ICC and it's a great feeling and it's the first time I've won one of these awards and it feels great," Kohli said upon receiving the honour.   Sunil Narine: The West Indies youngsters was named Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2012 in Colombo. The off-spinner played in three Tests for the West Indies claiming 12 wickets at an average 31.50, while in the 15 ODIs he played in he claimed 28 wickets at an average of 18.82. "I need to digest this and this one step at time and enjoy every minute that I play. This award means a lot for me and it's an encouragement to keep going and continue to improve. I dedicate this award to my father who kept pushing me, who took me to the Queen's Park Oval regularly and told me I would have my moment and I'd like to thank him for his help and all my family who support me," Narine said.   Richard Levi: The South African batsman won the ICC Twenty20 International Performance of the Year in recognition of his 51-ball 117 not out against New Zealand. "I don't remember much of the innings but I regularly get reminded of it. When any sportsman performs well, with T20 cricket it either comes off or it doesn't and for me it came off that day. I'm looking forward to playing Sri Lanka when the ICC World Twenty20 gets underway. I really appreciate some of the best cricketers from the past and top members of the media in the world have honoured me with this award and it's very humbling to get it," the 24-year-old said.   George Dockrell: Ireland's left-arm spinner was named the ICC Associate and Affiliate Cricketer of the Year. "It's great to win such an award and especially to be following the footsteps of an esteemed group of players like William Porterfield and Ryan ten Doeschate and only at the age of 20, I feel very honoured. It's been a great year of cricket with I-Cup, U19s and WCL Championship and now the WT20 and I've been learning a lot to take it into this tournament. It's good to be setting high standards, and hopefully I will keep performing well for Ireland in the future," the delighted 20-year-old said.   Daniel Vettori: New Zealand all-rounder Daniel Vettori won the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award 2012. Vettori beat off competition from South Africa's AB de Villiers and Jacques Kallis as well as Mohammad Hafeez of Pakistan and West Indies' Kieron Pollard.   Kumar Dharmasena: The Sri Lankan won the David Shepherd Trophy for first time after being named ICC Umpire of the Year. Dharmasena, who made his international debut as an umpire in 2009, joined the Emirates Elite Panel in May 2011. "This is one of the best awards I could have got as an individual as I only joined the Elite Panel a year ago, it's a really honour," Kumar said.   Sarah Taylor: England's Sarah Taylor was named ICC Women's T20I Cricketer of the Year. The 23-year-old took the accolade ahead of West Indies Stafanie Taylor and Australia's Alyssa Healy and Lisa Sthalekar.   Stafanie Taylor: West Indies Stafanie Taylor was named the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year.
